France 2018 World Cup Home Shirt

As football fans know, the World Cup is a competition not only among 32 qualified national teams but also among sporting brands, such as Nike, Adidas, PUMA and so on. The 2018 football shirts of these teams are designed by ten brands. There is no doubt that Adidas, the world-famous brand, is responsible for 12 national teams. In addition, another global brand Nike has ten teams. New Balance and Umbro are respectively responsible for two national teams.

We have to say that many powerful teams in the world have missed the 2018 World Cup, including Italy national team and Chile national teams. Therefore, PUMA has no chance to display the well-designed 2018 home and away shirts in the final stage of the World Cup that are designed for Italy. At the same time, Nike also can’t show their football jerseys designed for Chile. Wales national team that owns the famous football star Bale missed the World Cup, too. They have to wait the next World Cup.

Certainly, there are many excellent national teams competing in the 2018 World Cup. Argentina, Spain, Belgium and Germany national teams and other teams will fight for the championship of the World Cup. Players of the qualified teams will put on the most comfortable and breathable football jerseys to play games in Russia.

The brand new France Home Shirt 2018 was unveiled by Nike and the FFF jointly. It is an elegant and innovative football shirt. Nicknamed Les Bleus (The Blues), France national team’s colors are blue, white and red, so the home shirt is used the traditional blue. It also features the coq gaulois(Gallic rooster) on the chest, an unofficial national symbol of France, representing that France is a State and the Republic. The buttons shows the national motto—”Liberté(Freedom), Egalité(Equality), Fraternité(Fraternity)”. What’s more, a small France national team is printed at the back of the collar to show respect for the great country and the slogan “Nos Differences Nous Unissent(Our differences unite us.)” is shown inside of the collar.

French players Kylian Mbappé Lottin and Ousmane Dembelé, wearing the newly released jerseys appeared in a picture called Sports Allegory that was shot by a famous French designer Jean Paul Goude.

Kylian Mbappé Lottin, born on 20 December 1998, is a professional forward for Paris Saint-Germain and the France national team. He is described as a “huge football talent” who “has similarities to Thierry Henry” by Arsène Wenger. His father is a football coach and his brother is also a professional footballer, so his family has an effect on the young player.

Ousmane Dembelé, born on 15 May 1997, plays as a forward for  Barcelona and France national team. He transferred to Barcelona in 2017 with a transfer fee of €105 million, making him one of the most expensive footballers. His 20 caps and five goals at youth level earned him a chance to play for France national team in games against Italy and Belarus in 2016. Besides, Dembélé scored his first goal for his country, winning a game against England on 13 June 2017.

Australia 2018 World Cup Home Shirt

Australia national team is known as “Socceroos” by both the Australian people and the Football Federation Australia (FFA), the governing body for soccer. The nickname was first used by Sydney journalist Tony Horstead when he went to South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It represents not only a cultural propensity for the use of colloquialisms in Australia but also the Australian English use of the sport’s name. Besides, the nickname is related to the kangaroo and it is a combination of “soccer and kangaroo”.

The squad has got the runner-up and the third place in 1997 and 2001 FIFA Confederations Cups; it won AFC Asian Cup in 2015 and got the runner-up in 2011; it won OFC Nations Cup four times and got two runners-up.

With the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, Nike and the FFA jointly unveiled the brand new home and away shirts 2018 recently for Australia national team. Inspired by the glorious history of the team, designers recalled the exciting stories between Australia and the World Cup and the shirts aimed to pay tribute to the pioneers of professional footballer in the country.

It is a memorable day in the history of Australian football when “Socceroos” defeated a powerful opponent and once again reached the final stage of the World Cup after 32 years on November 16, 2005. That victory is still widely regarded as an important turning point in Australian football.

“Mark Viduka, the captain of the team at that time, called on every player to wear a yellow shirt both on and off the court in a public statement and to create ‘a golden ocean’,” said Pete Hoppins, Nike’s senior design director for football apparel,“It was the slogan of the game that inspired the design of new jerseys.”

The home shirt 2018 is a yellow one. The home shorts aren’t green. Instead they are yellow. The socks are yellow, too. This change is expected to encourage Australian players to prepare well for the games of the 2018 World Cup. The golden jersey with dark green details and unique design on cuffs responds to the slogan “Golden Ocean”. It is made of Nike Astro Mesh Dri-Fit fabric, which is much lighter and more comfortable. The team logo is lighter than previous one and is the most breathable one.

The new dark green away jersey is decorated with bright yellow details, symbolizing young players’ vitality.

“Green and yellow are the traditional colors of Australia national team, so we want to apply green directly to the design of the away jersey. The inspiration for the yellow design on front of the away jersey also comes from the great victory in 2005. The jersey worn by the team players in that game has a similar wedge-shaped pattern.” said Hoppins.
